Volunteer at The Legacy Ranch

We cannot do what we do at The Legacy Ranch without the help of our volunteers! If you are interested in learning more about volunteering and becoming a part of our team, please get in touch with us at info@thelegacyranch.org. We do not require horse experience to volunteer with us! We can’t wait to hear from you!

Lesson Volunteers: We wouldn’t be able to provide services without our Lesson Volunteers! Your role as a lesson volunteer may include leading the horse or side-walking in our therapeutic riding lessons. Volunteers will be trained how properly lead a horse in a therapeutic session, as well as the different types of support utilized as a side-walker to support the riders differing needs. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with all of our clients in a fun and rewarding atmosphere! Lesson Volunteers may be asked to groom and saddle the lesson horses before their session time. Lesson Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and able to work independently.

Barn Volunteers: Our barn duty volunteers play a vital role in our program, as they keep everything in the back running smoothly while lessons are taking place. This may include cleaning stalls, providing fresh water to the horses, sweeping, cleaning and maintaining proper care of equipment for the horses and the facility, and upkeep of our garden! Barn Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to work independently.
