Yoga Healing with Horses

Join JoAnn and Janada to reconnect with your intuition, power and peace through grounding meditation, intuitive movement and gentle yoga flow in the presence of of our healing horses. We look forward to sharing sacred space with you!

As the weather grows colder, we will shift into our heated indoor arena, which has soft sand footing. Chairs and mats are both available. Wear closed-toed shoes and layered clothing taking weather into consideration.

No horse/yoga/meditation experience necessary. No riding. Ages 13+

Why Horses? Horses join us as co-facilitators in deepening the flow of energy and breath individually and collectively. Horses naturally do this for each other in their herds, what benefits one benefits all as they coregulate each other. Another component is in their physical presence - all mammals have an electromagnetic field that emanates from their heart. Ours extends out 4-6 feet from our bodies. Horses (depending on the size) standardly have a heart that is 5 times the size of ours. Their field extends out 20 feet! When we are in our circle, we are all within overlaying fields or “heart space” with the horse and each other. Studies have shown that the heart space of horses “speak" to ours, known as heart rate coherence. Our hearts fall into regulated rhythm with theirs, allowing our cortisol levels to even out, deepen and regulate our breath, and in some cases release oxytocin and beta endorphins. All of these allow us to shift into our parasympathetic ("rest and digest”) system and experience restorative benefits and a present focused mind. All of this without the need to do anything other than breathe and allow your body to shift, flow and move as it requests.
