Ages 14+

No experience necessary. This yoga class is best suited for those wanting to practice gentle meditation and yoga in the presence of horses. This class will be adaptive for new and returning practitioners.

The first hour will be yoga followed by the sound bath.

This class offers an energetic and light-hearted practice to develop strength, flexibility, and balance, while steadying the mind. One or more of our horses will be present as co-facilitators in deepening the flow of energy and breath individually and collectively. Horses naturally do this for each other in their herds; what benefits one, benefits all as they coregulate each other.

Our certified yoga instructor, JoAnn, will lead you through gentle Hatha movement to encourage proper alignment alongside breathwork and mindfulness.

Certified yoga instructor, Meredith, will lead grace us with an incredible sound bath experience using her singing bowls. Using the vibration of sounds from crystal quartz singing bowls, we will focus on supporting the nervous system in order to promote the body’s natural healing processes.

Meredith has been teaching Yoga since 2016 after graduating her first 200-hour training. Five years later she went back and completed an additional 300 hours of teacher training and has been teaching classes at a Five Seasons in Burr Ridge, IL. As she makes her way through completing a Doctor of Acupuncture program, she has taken a special interest toward the meridian system and subtle energy healing techniques - one of which is using the vibration of sounds from crystal quartz singing bowls. She focuses on supporting the nervous system in order to promote the body’s natural healing processes.

Class will take place in our temperature-controlled indoor (soft sand) arena. Wear layered clothes and comfortable pants and shoes. Drink plenty of water beforehand. Please arrive 10 minutes early to set up before class. We have mats available, but you may bring your own or an old towel to use as a mat or under your mat.

No riding is involved, so horse experience is not necessary.
