Our Wellness Group Sessions are led by Elizabeth Frantz, LCPC, Certified Animal-Assisted Therapist and will take place on our beautiful 20-acre property. Our healing herd will welcome you into their heart space. Studies have shown that the heart space of horses “speak” to ours, known has heart rate coherence. Our hearts fall into regulated rhythm with theirs, allowing our cortisol levels to even out, deepen and regulate our breath, and in some cases release oxytocin and beta endorphins. All of these allow us to shift into our parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) system and experience restorative benefits and a present focused mind.

We are offering 3 different Wellness Group Sessions. Each session consists of 6 classes that meet for 60 minutes. No riding is involved - Horse experience is not necessary. Group session descriptions are listed below.

HIGH SCHOOL EMPOWERMENT: A supportive and educational group to assist high school students or those entering high school struggling with connection, coping skills and self-esteem. We will focus on building healthy relationships, establishing healthy boundaries, dealing with stressors, learning, and incorporating healthy coping skills and promoting self-esteem and confidence through team building activities and exercises in a fun and natural setting with the healing herd. For current high school students. Meets at 3:30 - 4:30 pm

PET GRIEF AND LOSS: A supportive group for those dealing with grief and loss surrounding loss of a pet. Grief can be disorienting and disabling, along with other compounding issues that can arise such as anxiety, depression, childhood trauma and fears. This supportive and psychoeducational group promotes healing, connection and developing healthy coping skills for those struggling with issues associated with the grief process of a beloved pet. For individuals 21+. Meets at 4:45 - 5:45 pm

REBUILDING EQUINE RELATIONSHIPS: A supportive and psychoeducational group dealing with past or present horse related accidents, injuries, or negative equine experiences. This group focuses on rebuilding connection, establishing confidence, and gaining self-esteem. Reduce trauma responses and symptoms of PTSD by building a more positive neural pathway from the fight or flight part of your brain to help get through the experience. Help to replace automatic negative reactions and shift perspective to a healthier and more relaxed response. Develop a sense of trust through interactions with horses to gain a sense of safety and build healthy relationships. For individuals 21+. Meets at 6:00 - 7:00 pm
