4-Day Horse Camp (Ages 7+)

Mon - Thurs, July 28 - 31

9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Horse Education - Games - Activities - RIDING!

Campers will learn about horses, including horse care, nutrition, grooming, etc. Each camp will also include a group riding lesson each day and fun outdoor activities. Depending on the weather, games and activities will either take place outside or in our temperature-controlled indoor arenas and program house.

No riding or horse experience necessary!

Bring a sack lunch and eat with your favorite horse!

All new participants (updated yearly) must sign a waiver before the class begins. Please click here for waiver.

No Refunds if registration is cancelled less than 2 weeks before the camp. Cancellations requested 2 weeks or more before the camp will be subject to processing fee.

We will need a minimum of 8 participants to run the camp - we will contact you if we need to cancel or reschedule a camp.

Are you interested in learning more about what it takes to be a part of a horse show and taking care of your own horse?

All participants that join this camp will be able to participate in our offsite horse show on June 29th at Francis Field in New Lenox. The cost includes camp and horse show admittance and fees. (Must attend this camp to be in the horse show. However, participation in the horse show is not necessary to register for this camp.)

Campers will need appropriate show clothes (more information on the required attire will be given closer to the camp date.)

The instructor will work with the riders to determine what classes they will ride in at the off-site show and riders will practice each day of camp before the show day. Participants will learn what it’s like to be a part of a “show team” and will work on team building exercises that will aid in supporting each other at the horse show!

Previous riding experience isn’t necessary.

Camp activities include:

-How to groom and prepare a horse for a horse show (Braiding, leg wrapping, baths)

-Trailer loading and prep

-Proper attire for horse shows

-Arena etiquette

-First aid for horses

-Riding every day
