9:00 - 11:00 AM
Ages 7+
In this session, campers will learn how to properly groom a horse and they will be taught how to use the brushes and special tools to keep their horses clean. They will learn how to give their horse a bath, with the opportunity to bathe a horse on their own. Participants will also learn the different equipment that is used when riding a horse and they will be educated on different riding disciplines that are performed by riders across the horse industry. With this knowledge, they will saddle and prepare their own horses before riding.
Each camp session will include one hour of education off of the horse, and one hour of riding in the saddle in a safe riding environment which will include games and confidence building activities while getting to know their horses.
All participants must come prepared with proper attire to ensure that they are comfortable and safe around the horses. This will include long pants and close toed shoes with a heel. Helmets will be provided if the participant does not own one.
Please wait in the front office where your instructor will come and greet you. All new participants must sign a waiver before the class begins. *Click here to sign the mandatory waiver
*Participants are not required to attend the full 3 weeks of Horse Camp. They may choose to do Horse care 101, 102, or 103. This camp is progressive, so we encourage attendees for all three weeks.
